New Genealogical Information From Roxanne Hawksley-Sciarappa

Roxanne from Connecticut confirmed through her own ancestry search that her great-grandfather Rocco and Bill Sciarappa’s grandfather Fidelo Sciarappa were first cousins. An Ellis Island record said he was going “…to visit Fidelo in Asbury Park.” Rocco Sciarappa had a sister named Maria Leonara Sciarappa-Zaccaro. Her relatives also were from Osara and the Sciarappa that went to Greenwich, Ct. was Roxanne’s Grandfather ‘Francesco Michael.’ Rocco’s father was listed as Francesco meaning that her great-great Grandfather Francesco and Michele may be a brother of Bill’s great-great Grandfather. Many Osara people went to Butler, Pennsylvania where they do genealogy research. Also, Roxanne’s great-aunt Maria-Lucia (also from Osara) married a man from Montaguto.
